Carolynne says: “Last year was my nightmare year, probably the worst year of my life. I know what it feels like to get a no, and I know what it feels like to watch the show knowing that you could have been a part of it. It means the world for me to be here again.”

Carolynne, 32, returned to the show this year after making it to Judges Houses last year but not making it into Louis’s final three.

She’s back this year ‘more confident than ever’ and Gary picked her for his three acts to go to the Live Shows. She says she wants to bring ‘country rock fun’ to The X Factor. A Casino singer and furniture restorer, Carolynne also appeared in ITV1 soap Emmerdale earlier this year – playing Talia, Justin’s fiancée.

Carolynne’s cousin is a rugby player so Carolynne has been training with her to keep fit – she says she has never been fitter.

She wants to be the first UK country singer to make it in America and she’d love to perform with Faith Hill or Shania Twain.
