Granger Smith Biography

Smith was born in Texas. At the age of fourteen, he became interested in music and decided to pursue it as a hobby, teaching himself guitar. At age nineteen, Smith moved from Texas to Nashville, Tennessee and was quickly signed to a songwriting contract.
Granger Smith was signed to a contract at the age of nineteen in Nashville, Tennessee. He has performed three times at the White House, and in 2008 he travelled to perform for soldiers in Iraq and Kuwait.
He is perhaps best known for his self made alter ego, Earl Dibbles Jr. He "discovered" his alter ego when he and his brother were playing with a camera at the family ranch. Earl Dibbles Jr. was popularized by Smith's "The Country Boy Song."
Granger Smith has performed several concerts for overseas soldiers. He is a supporter of the Boot Campaign.
Smith first attended Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas. Smith later attended Texas A&M, where he earned a Bachelor's degree. He lived in Nashville for five years but currently resides in Texas. He has been married to his wife, Amber, an actress, since February 11, 2010. They met on the set of a music video and she has been featured in several of his music videos since. He has one daughter, London, born in October 2011, and one son, Lincoln Monarch Smith, born January 7, 2014.
