Imagine Dragons is an Alternative rock band based in Las Vegas, Nevada.


Imagine Dragons was formed in Provo, Utah and following the success from winning BYU's Battle of the Bands they would move to Las Vegas, Nevada where the band reformed members to the current line up. The band entered the studio for the first time in 2009. They released two EPs titled Imagine Dragons EP and Hell and Silence EP (mixed in part by Mark Needham) in 2010, both recorded at Battle Born Studios. Shortly, they were invited to fill in for Train at the 13th annual Bite of Las Vegas food and music festival, named "Most Requested Band of 2010" on LOCAL 107.9FM, chosen as a Vegas Music Summit Headliner, dubbed "Las Vegas' Newest Must See Live Act" by Las Vegas CityLife, voted "Best Local Indie Band 2010" by Las Vegas Weekly, and awarded "Best CD of 2011" by Vegas Seven Magazine.

Imagine Dragons signed to major label Interscope Records in November 2011. They are working closely with producer Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Rhianna, Paramore) with whom they recorded their first major label release at Westlake Recording Studios in West Hollywood, California. The EP is entitled Continued Silence and it released on February 14, 2012 digitally. The band was endorsed by Blue Microphones following their 2010 SXSW Music Festival performances and their music has been featured on American Idol commercials, MLS' Real Salt Lake commercials, TBS commercials for the 2012 MLB season, BYUtv's AUDIO-FILES, MTV's World of Jenks, The Real World: Las Vegas, The Real World: San Diego, CBS's Around the World for Free, TeenNick's Degrassi, AOL Jobs, Windows Media Player, and notable hit predictors like Hewlett-Packard followed the band on tour leading up to their 2012 SXSW appearances and blogged about the tour on their facebook page.

Valentine's Day (February 14, 2012) Imagine Dragons' first major label release entitled Continued Silence EP released digitally. And on February 21, 2012 "It's Time" became the group's first single. The music video had its debut on MTV. This occurred April 17th, 2012. A first teaser released March 28th, 2012. Continued Silence was produced by GRAMMY award winner Alex Da Kid at Westlake Recording Studios and engineered by GRAMMY award winner Manny Marroquin along with Rich Costey. It was mastered by GRAMMY award winner Joe LaPorta.

Their music has been picked up by taste-making radio stations including CIMX, KCRW, WBRU, WXPK, KROQ, and KSCF. They will be performing at the FMQB Triple A Conference in August 2012.

Imagine Dragons performed on FUSE TV's Hoppus on Music on March 15, 2012. They also performed at the Red Bull Sound Space on KROQ. They performed "It's Time" live on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live on April 11, 2012.

Imagine Dragons are the MTV PUSH Artist Of The Week of April 16, 2012. Their first official music video for "It's Time" was released on all MTV affiliates on April 17, 2012.
Touring & Festivals

The band has performed at various Las Vegas casinos including Caesar's Palace, Monte Carlo, Texas Station, Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station, Mandalay Bay, OShea's, South Point, Hard Rock, etc.

They played a handful of festivals in 2010 including five performances at SXSW Music Festival (BMI showcase), Neon Reverb Festival, Fork Festival (headliner), and New Noise Music Festival. In 2011, they also played at Bergenfest in Norway, Sunset Strip Music Festival, and Bite of Las Vegas Festival 2011. Imagine Dragons performed more than fifteen private and public shows at 2012 SXSW Music Festival (Roxy Theatre showcase) including the mtvU's Woodie Awards Festival. They will perform at Summerfest 2012 and Firefly Music Festival 2012. They will perform at 97X Backyard BBQ on May 26, 2012, BFD on June 2, 2012, Sandy Parts Festival on June 3, 2012, Basilica Block Party on July 6, 2012, and Bunbury Music Festival on July 14, 2012.

They toured in fall 2010 with Nico Vega and Saint Motel. They toured in March 2011 with The Parlotones. They are currently on tour with The Jezabels and Benjamin Francis Leftwich.

The band has also played shows with: Weezer, Interpol, JET, Blue October, Kelly Clarkson, Foster the People, Neon Trees, Hot Chip, The Temper Trap, Awolnation, The Presidents of the United States of America, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Chiddy Bang, fun., Santigold, Crash Kings, O.A.R., Marcy Playground, Kimbra, Hellogoodbye, Los Lobos, Andrew W.K., Parachute, The Envy Corps, and many more.
