“Always forward, your sharp notes, always forward, not upwards” – her vocal teacher implores. And she, convinced of what she wants, keeps on moving forward. Intuitive, ingenious, creative, charismatic, spontaneous - all have been used to define this Spanish singer songwriter who, displaying an admirable tenacity, has begun to stand out based on her live concerts and artistry, which she has been developing and perfecting day after day . She was born in Cordoba and grew up in Jerez (Sherry). Finishing her studies, she moved to Madrid, her favorite city, and has been living in the Spanish capital ever since. Her family has always been linked to the arts. Her father began in the bullfighting world but later devoted himself to the theater, while the rest of her family have dedicated themselves to dubbing and interpretation. Olga was the first member of the family to devote herself to a musical career from a young age. Her first contact with the music industry was with the Sony ATV Publishing with whom she signed for the tracks that would later become her first album. While she was at work presenting her project to large record and management companies, the Madrid-based Sello Autor label decided to edit her album "Before You Speak" (“Antes de que Hables”) - ten songs produced in the Unomusic recording studios by Luis Villa of Sevilla and the guitarist Juan Carlos Jiménez, better known as "El Ninho". Her first album navigates between pop and rock based on bold guitar arrangements and forceful drum sets, and her very particular and characteristic voice, earning excellent reviews from both the general public and of the national media. Despite comparisons, her melodies and her particular way of interpreting each song make her quite unique. Gifted with a magnificent vocal range, though not the typical educated and correct voice, she moves us deeply despite her beautiful imperfections. Her songs are real pure emotion and her live performances exceed all expectations. This past March she met with much success when she introduced her first album with her band at the Hard Rock Café in Madrid, continuing with a promotional tour that saw her stop by many radio stations in Spain for live performances accompanied only by her guitar. Her concert tour with her band will finish this fall when she starts work on her second album expected to be closer to pure rock. Though what she has in store for us following her first album is still a mystery, surprises are what this talented artist enjoys most . We will soon know, but everything leads us to believe she will not let us down.
