Playjerise Biography

Jake Nauta and Daniel Georgiou are two young songwriters that deliver honest and powerful music to their audiences. Sydney based band Playjerise create music with strong, catchy acoustic melodies and confidently speak to the listener through their music.

In September 2006, Playjerise independently released their album 'Cross The Line' with great reception. Just 9 months after its release, the album has sold over 2000 copies and is still pressing on. Their fan base has grown considerably solely on the reputation of their music.

ARIA Award nominated artist LIOR found something special in the bands latest release. In his personal review of 'Cross The Line' he says "...some really beautiful playing, and singing (which is refreshing to hear)".

Through the Triple J Unearthed website, the bands single 'Safe To Say' was reviewed by Missy Higgins - who claimed it to be "A really sweet song...sung with a lot of heart". Out of thousands of song entries, the music of Playjerise stood above the rest and remained the top review over the course of the competition.

Michael Gore - from Koorong Australia - claimed the album to be "One of the years top three independent releases" and 'Cross The Line' is now available in Koorong stores nationally.

As well as this, playjerise have featured in the Australian Gospel Music Festival and played at the Blackstump Christian Music and Arts Festival.

The bands outstanding live show is reflective of their studio work. The interaction between the two gifted guitarists along with soaring vocal melodies combine to create a show that is hard to forget. Playjerise showcase their natural ability to deliver their trademark blend of inspirational verve and catchy acoustic melodies.

Playjerise continue to deliver great songs and powerful lyrics that have proven their appeal to people of all ages.
