Stereo Skyline Biography

Stereo Skyline is a three piece power-pop band based out of Long Island, NY. The band consists of Kevin Bard (lead vocals/ guitar), Brian Maddox ( bass), and Rob Michelsen (drums). Through catchy melodies and heartthrob lyrics, the band has found themselves growing nationally into teen hearts as well as onto their myspace pages. “If we are having fun singing it, you should have fun hearing it” says Kevin. “There is just too much negative music floating around.”

Kevin and Rob have played together for a while but It wasn’t until the summer of 2008 when they had met Brian out on the road and realized that he is the perfect fit for this project. The relationship between the band extends far from the stage which can be easily seen at all times. Most compare the relationship to as that of three brothers as these guys pretty much spend all their time together.

Each one of these guys has a special personality that helps fans connect with them on a daily basis. "The best thing about being in a band is getting to relate to the people who love your music" says Brian. They each have such an outgoing personality while being overly humorous. They love to interact and talk with every single person they meet creating a special relationship with every fan. “For me to be playing drums in a different state every night and seeing just one person singing our song with a smile on their face makes me feel like my job has been accomplished” says drummer Rob Michelsen.

Coming from Long Island, the band follows acts such as Taking Back Sunday, and Brand New, along with many other great national acts. Stereo Skyline plans to put the island on the map with a pop rock name now as well.

The band has released numerous songs in the past but it wasn’t until the summer release of their 2008 self titled EP that people starting really noticing the boys and their music. The EP consists of four songs including the bands single “Heartbeat.”

Currently writing their full length, the band plans to tour as much as possible until they record and release the new album. Come hang out with these guys at a show near you and see what they are all about, you wont leave disappointed!
