Cole Swindell Biography

Cole Swindell is an American country music songwriter and recording artist, who is known for his 2013 breakout hit "Chillin' It", whose official music video debuted on November 10, 2013. He wrote Craig Campbell's "Outta My Head", Luke Bryan's "Just a Sip", "Beer in the Headlights", "Roller Coaster", "Out Like That", "I'm Hungover", "I'm in Love with the Girl", "Love in a Collage Town", "Shore Thing" and "Shake the Sand", Thomas Rhett's "Get Me Some of That" and Scotty McCreery's "Water Tower Town" and "Carolina Eyes" (formerly known as "Alabama Eyes"). He also co-wrote Florida Georgia Line's "This Is How We Roll" with Bryan, who was featured on the song. Chris Young also had a song on his A.M. album co-written by Swindell, "Nothin' but the Cooler Left".

Swindell grew up in Bronwood, Georgia and graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2007 (he still famously wears the Georgia Southern Eagle baseball cap in many public appearances). From 2007 to 2010, Cole sold merchandise for fellow Sigma Chi member Luke Bryan. In 2010, Cole signed a published deal with Sony/ATV. In 2013, after his independently released single Chillin' It began to climb the charts, Cole signed a record deal with Warner Music Nashville and will release his self-titled debut album on February 18, 2014. Along with Lee Brice, Cole is opening Luke Bryan's 2014 That's My Kind of Night tour. The announced tour dates begin in mid-January and run into early March. (Cole has his own merchandise now, someone to sell it, and plenty of people are buying.)
