Jon Young Biography

There is much to be said about Jon Young & J. Cash, whom, in under two years have created a loyal, national (and even international) fanbase independently with little to no promotion. Their MySpace pages collectively receive around 15,000 listens a day on average, with total listens topping 28 million, along with youTube and MySpaceTV combining for over 1 million views, 180,000 non-solicited friends on MySpace, and over 12,000 CDs and digital sales sold and are preparing to release their 4th album, entitled “A New Era” in early August.

Jon Young & J. Cash have been approached for production deals by Atlantic/Warner Music Group and are recently out of a contract with an independent label under Warner Music, during which they featured rapper Lil Boosie on a song and had a cameo in the DJ Khaled music video for the hit song, I’m So Hood. They have performed at House of Blues in Orlando, SoBe Live in Miami, and Tony Neal’s Summer Jam in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as well as other various shows in Dallas, TX., Moline, IL., and throughout Florida.

In a sea of millions of aspiring artists, Jon Young & J. Cash have proven they stand out above many of the rest. They understand the struggle it takes to “make it” in this industry and have taken the initiative to build everything on their own. From the production, to graphic design, to booking their own shows.

What’s unique about these individuals is the fact that they never aspired to “blow up.” They simply enjoyed creating music for themselves and their close friends and thanks to the internet, their music has reached millions unintentionally. It’s important to realize that it’s the fans that want Jon Young & J. Cash on a major level, and at the end of the day, they’re the sole reason record labels exist to begin with.
