Nina Kinert Biography

Nina Kinert (1983) is a Swedish singer/songwriter. Her music style is a mix between country, blues, folk and pop. Kinert mentioned artists like Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan and Bob Marley as her influences. In 2004 she released her first album "Heartbreaktown" with SonyMusic. Her latest album "Pets and Friends" was released April 2008 on her own label "another records".

She rose to prominence in 2007 following the use of her song Through Your Eyes in a worldwide publicity campaign for the Swedish car company SAAB.

In October 2007, she is featured on the Steve Jansen album Slope, singing on Playground Martyrs (Reprise).

On the 11th April 2009, Photographer Melanie Caitlin followed Nina and her band around for the day at the Motel Mozaïque festival in Holland.

She is booked to appear at the Iceland Airwaves Festival on 14–18 October 2009.
