Somersault Sunday Biography

Wayne, Pennsylvania’s Ari Leff is the main man behind Somersault Sunday, an electro-infused pop solo-project. Being only 15 years old, Ari is way ahead of the game; Having already released 2 EPs and played countless shows: in- and out-of-state, there is no sign that he’ll be stopping anytime soon.

When you combine a rich musical background with multi-faceted talents in guitar, drums, piano, bass, and even viola, the product is a well-rounded musicality, and the ability to fill every position in a band. After Ari played in his fair share of bands, all of which fell apart, Somersault Sunday became his only promising outlet for expression. Quickly realizing the benefits of going solo, the young musician continued to experiment and write music more actively than ever, and the rest is history.

Using anything from an acoustic guitar to crazy synthesizers, Ari tries not to limit his musical creativity to just one pin-pointed style. In a world with bands that release the same song 5 times, he aims to bring something fresh to the table with each and every release. While some songs feature an honest, organic sound, others pump beats so compelling that you can’t help but get your groove on (go ahead, no one’s watching).

Whether he’s writing music, playing shows, doing web-chats, or filming video updates, Ari’s always thinking of his fans. It’s not just about his love of music, but also about connecting with the people that make it all possible: You. In addition, Ari has true perseverance and work ethic, two things that are hard to come across in today’s industry, setting him apart from the rest.

At this moment, Ari continues to work hard on his third release, as well as plans for the summer of 2010. Somersault Sunday is certainly an artist to keep your eyes and ears on; big things are to come for the future.
